MyFile allows a user to save files from any application by entering keywords that are maintained with the file and automatically create folders and sub-folders to deposit the document into Link ECM 3.2 or in a windows directory tree desktop folder structure. The MyFile system meets the demands of customers that want an easy to use filing mechanism to assist the forced filing of documents to meet company requirements.  Many clients have complained about users’ inability or neglect filing documents.  Frequently, we were hearing that users were too busy to navigate directory trees for saving documents, and when they did file documents on network drives, they would not adhere to company guidelines. Other applications have plug-ins for certain programs like Microsoft Office.  The problem with plug-ins is the requirement to stay current on latest releases and management of the plug-ins for multiple software releases.  Antera software has solved this problem with MyFile’s desktop functionality. With MyFile, we establish a company filing protocol.  MyFile watches a local folder that kicks off the MyFile profile when a document is saved. By default all documents get saved to the local MyFile folder,  prompting a profile pop-up for automated filing. Profiles can contain text, date, drop-down lists, and combo boxes. Profile values can also be linked to databases to force the filing with exact client names, numbers or, any maintained values. Once the profile is completed the document is removed from the local folder and is automatically filed. Users can fill in profile values as files are saved or select a timed feature that triggers filing at a specific time in the day.
