Link OCR Optical Character Recognition
Link OCR is a free component installed with our Link ECM Content Management System. Link OCR automatically scans all existing and new files in Link ECM 3.3 and does full text optical character recognition (OCR) on the files. All Tiff images and PDF images are automatically found, OCR’d and indexed for full text search. In most content management systems, files are searchable based upon file names, folder names or keywords applied. Link ECM 3.3 is the only content management system that automatically OCR’s all Tiff and PDF files for full text search. The system is designed to run as a service and logs all files OCR’d and provides details based upon files processed, remaining files to process and % of database OCR’d.
