How do individual stores in a corporate restaurant chain get their invoices to the corporate office for processing? Some still fax – out-dated but still occurring minimally; Hand delivery – only if the corporate office is nearby; Shipping – this is most common and it gets expensive; or manual keying into software at the store level plus shipping of hard copies. These are the ways of the past. Antera is showing companies everyday how a $400 (on average) desktop scanner can painlessly transport all store level invoices into an organized and sorted electronic content management system – Antera calls theirs Link ECM 3.2. Antera can demonstrate just how easy it is to eliminate shipping costs, constant faxing, file cabinets, and paper storage. Going paperless is just the beginning…
When an invoice is accepted into Antera's Link ECM 3.3, OCR (Ocular Character Recognition) technology is applied, which enables full text search on every invoice. LINK also files the invoices under vendor folder by month so they are easy to find (especially come audit time).
A more advanced technology called IFR (Intelligent Field Recognition) can be applied to every invoice which reads and pulls out the pertinent invoice information. The pertinent data (invoice #, date, amount, vendor, ship to, bill to…) is then inserted into an invoice profile which is automatically placed into a cue for import into any accounting system. The elimination of all paper documents, manual keying and manual invoice processing is the solution to modern age efficiency. Link ECM 3.3 insures that every company invoice, contract, HR document, and report is digitally stored and fully searchable for easy retrieval.
